Eva Mendes is a beautiful actress who was born in Miami, Florida on March 5th, 1974 but raised in Los Angeles, California. She didn’t begin her acting career until the late 1990s but I’ll speak for all of us, I’m sure glad we got introduced to her!
Early Life
Like I mentioned, Eva was born in Miami but it wasn’t until her parents split that she stayed with her mother in Los Angeles where she was raised.
She was born to Cuban parents where her mother is now a elementary school principal and her father is a car salesman.
Eva is the youngest of her four siblings. She has two sisters and one brother.
She was raised Roman Catholic practicing to be a nun but I guess she obviously didn’t make it to that aspect, huh? 
Eva attended Hoover High School when she was young and later she studied at California State University to study marketing. Though, she eventually dropped out to pursue her acting career.
Career
Eva Mendes started at the beginning stages of acting. She began with commercials, managed to get in on some music videos including Will Smith’s “Miami” video and Aerosmith’s “Hole in my Soul” video. She also did some guest roles in soap operas and smaller films.
She caught a big break when she was in the movie “Training Day” starring Denzel Washington. And when you act with one of the best, more than likely you’re going places in the acting world. From there, she got roles in such movies as “Stuck on You” and “Once Upon a Time in Mexico” but she finally got a lead female role in the movie “Hitch” alongside Will Smith.
So, obviously she’s been in good company and that’s why she’s going places in the entertainment business.
Let’s continue with the good company she’s been with. She was also in “Ghostrider” alongside Nicholas Cage and also was in the film “We Own the Night” which starred Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, and Robert Duvall. And most recently, she was in “The Spirit” which had Samuel L. Jackson as well and “The Women” which had Meg Ryan, Jada Pinkett Smith and more.
Although, they weren’t the best of movies, she was definitely still in good company.
Besides acting, she also is a spokeswoman for various companies such as Revlon. She also appears in tons of ads which include being nude in such commercials as the Calvin Klein Secret Obsession ad, PETA, not to mention all those magazine covers she’s been on.
